NFL top plays: Live updates, highlights, scores from Browns-Cowboys

Brady previewed the game in an exclusive video on Saturday, explaining why Week 1 is a challenge for every team. You can watch the video here.

Brady’s first game behind isn’t the only storyline leading up to this epic clash, though. Here are a few more:

— Cowboys QB Dak Prescott took the deal in Cleveland just hours after signing a four-year, $240 million extension with $231 million guaranteed. At $60 million per year, it’s the richest contract in NFL history and prevents Prescott from becoming an unrestricted free agent next season, where he could potentially get an even bigger deal on the open market.

— Prescott isn’t the only Cowboys star playing under a new contract on Sunday. WR CeeDee Lamb made it clear he’s ready for any workload after missing the entire training camp in a contract holdout. Lamb was given a four-year, $136 million contract, a tad below the $140 million deal signed by Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson. Now, Lamb will get to work on an encore of his breakout season, in which he led the NFL with 135 catches and had 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. The 25-year-old has raised his numbers in all three categories in each of his first four seasons.

— Browns QB Deshaun Watson started for the first time since breaking a bone in his right shoulder in November. Watson underwent surgery and ended his second season with Cleveland after just six starts. While disappointing, Watson finished on a high note by completing all 14 passes in a second-half comeback win at Baltimore despite playing through the injury.
