Nebraska women’s basketball team adds Petra Bozan

The Nebraska women’s basketball team has added an international player to the roster two months before the season starts.

The Huskers added Petra Bozan, a 6-foot-3 forward from Croatia. The 18-year-old arrived in Lincoln Sunday night, just in time for the start of fall classes on Monday.

Bozan delivered a strong performance for Croatia at the FIBA U18 Women’s Eurobasket in Portugal.

Bozan led Croatia in both points (113) and rebounds (70) through seven tournament games, ranking sixth among all players in the 16-team tournament in scoring (16.1 per game) and third in rebounds (10 per game).

Coach Amy Williams said Bozan is a great addition to Nebraska’s 13-player roster.

“Her size, skill set and experience make her a perfect addition to our current roster, and we are excited to watch her grow and develop,” Williams said in a press release.
