On Wednesday night, some of the music industry’s biggest stars hit the black carpet at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Chappell Roan brought the drama to the carpet, arriving in a Renaissance-inspired gown with a green train, completing the look with a sword.

Sabrina Carpenter exuded old Hollywood and appeared in a white sequined dress.

The “Espresso” singer also styled her hair in Marilyn Monroe waves.

Karol G was one of the first performers to arrive. The “QLONA” singer wore a fiery yellow-orange dress with a plunging collar.

She had a big smile on her face as she posed for photos on the carpet.

Taylor Swift was the best with 12 nominations for tonight’s show, including the coveted video of the year award for “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone).” Last year, she won the award for “Anti-Hero.”

Swift’s “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone, who has nine nominations, is right behind. His song “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen is also up for best collaboration.

Tonight’s performers include Shawn Mendes, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Eminem and Katy Perry, who will accept the Vanguard Award.

Megan Thee Stallion will host the show, which begins at 8 p.m. ET at UBS Arena in New York.

Katy Perry receives the MTV Michael Jackson Vanguard Award.
