Mexican stocks higher at close of trading; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.33% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexican stocks rose after the close on Friday as gains across sectors and stocks lifted.

In Mexico, the stock market rose 0.33% at the close.

The best performers of the session on the were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 5.04% or 0.54 points to close at 11.22. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:) added 2.91% or 8.99 points to close at 317.10 and GCC SAB de CV (BMV:) rose 2.76% or 4.12 points to 153.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Financial Inbursa Group SAB De CV (BMV:), which fell 2.09% or 0.99 points to close at 46.59. Alfa, SAB De CV (BMV:) fell 1.09% or 0.13 points to close at 11.86 and Arca Continental SAB De CV (BMV:) fell 1.01% or 1.77 points to 174.33.

On the Mexican stock exchange, falling stock prices were 116 times larger than rising stock prices. There were 11 stocks that remained unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.27% or 32.00 to $2,548.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 2.67% or 1.95 to $74.96 a barrel, while the Brent crude contract for October rose 2.28% or 1.76 to $78.98 a barrel.

USD/MXN fell 2.09% to 19.11, while EUR/MXN fell 1.38% to 21.39.

US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.82% to 100.57.
