The Brewers took a 2-0 lead after the 1st inning, but the Mets stormed back to get 3 in the 2i.e and 5 out of 5e to win Game 1 of their Wild Card series by a score of 8-4.

Luis Severino was shaky early, but rallied to give the Mets six innings. Freddy Peralta also struggled early, but never got on the court and was pulled after four innings.

Mark Vientos, JD Martinez and Jesse Winker each drove in two runs for the Mets. William Contreras drove in 2 for the Brewers.

Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
