Mercedes Mone targets wrestling at 2024 Paris Olympics

Mercedes Mone has earned the right to call herself one of the best female wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling. The CEO has reached new heights of success since joining AEW last March and is now looking to give it her all on arguably the biggest stage in the world for sports.

The CEO of women’s wrestling took her X to reflect on the events unfolding with the start of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Mercedes acknowledged her cousin Snoop Dogg and popular musician Flavor Flav’s involvement in the Olympics, credited them as two of the biggest hype men for Team USA, and also learned that NFL player Jason Kelce was the new face of USA Rugby.

Given all this, Mercedes Mone stated that she would like to compete in women’s wrestling matches at the Olympic Games, to show the world what the wrestling world is all about.

“First I see my cousin @SnoopDogg working hard at @NBCOlympics.. then @FlavorFlav pulls a whole sponsorship and now I hear @JasonKelce
is the new face of @USARugby?! I want in. I’m gonna show you how it’s done 😤🤝🏽 #womenswrestling #partnersinparis?”

Although Mercedes Mone will not be able to join Team USA this year as the Olympics are already underway, she does have an important competition at Wembley Stadium next month.

Mercedes Mone will defend her AEW TBS Championship against Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, at the company’s premier event, AEW All In. So, we’ll have to wait and see how Mone performs in her first extravagant AEW match at Wembley. Her performance in the ring could make her a potential candidate for the Olympic team in the future.

What do you think about Mercedes Mone showing interest in wrestling at the 2024 Paris Olympics? Do you think she is worthy of qualifying for the women’s wrestling team in the future? Let us know in the comments!
