The Mega Millions jackpot from Friday’s drawing has risen to an estimated $627 million after no one won the top prize on Tuesday.

The winning numbers were drawn just after 11:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Below are the results.

According to the lottery, one lucky player could walk away with an estimated one-time payout of $309.1 million after taxes if he or she wins Tuesday’s jackpot.

Two people have won the Mega Millions jackpot this year: the first in March, when a player from New Jersey walked away with a whopping $1.13 billion, and the second in June, when a player from Illinois won $552 million.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 27th draw are: 16, 18, 21, 54 and 65. The Mega Ball is 5 and the Megaplier is 2X.

While no one won the Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, there was a Match 5 + Megaplier winner in South Carolina and a Match 5 winner, also in South Carolina.

How do you play Mega Millions?

To purchase a ticket, you will need to go to your local grocery store, gas station, or convenience store. In some states, you can also purchase tickets online.

To play, you have to choose six numbers. Five numbers are white balls from 1 to 70. The golden Mega Ball is a number between 1 and 25.

If you think the odds are slim, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-major prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesdays and Fridays.
