    Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp Stun NFL Fans Despite Rams’ OT Loss to Jared Goff and Lions | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats & Rumors

    The connection between Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp remains impressive.

    Even though it was a lost game, the duo, quarterback and wide receiver, showed how great they can be.

    Los Angeles trailed 17-3 at one point in the game, but had a strong second half to get back into the game. This was against a Detroit team that reached the NFC Championship last season, so the effort is at least something the Rams can build on.

    Kyren Williams led the Rams in rushing with 50 yards and a touchdown, but it was Kupp and Stafford who really made the magic.

    Stafford went 34-of-49 for 317 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kupp had 14 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown.

    Fans took to social media to praise Stafford and Kupp’s performances.

    The Lions tied the game with a late field goal in regulation and took possession home in overtime. It was quarterback Jared Goff’s first regular-season win against his former team.

    Stafford and the Rams have now lost two games in a row to the Lions, but still appear to have a promising season ahead of them. A win in Week 1 would have been a great way to start the season, but the effort is something that Los Angeles hopes to carry into the season.

    The Rams return to action in Week 2 when they travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals.
