Mariah Carey’s sister Alison was in hospice care before her death

Alison Carey’s friend gives insight into the last days of her life.

Dave Baker revealed Monday that Mariah Carey’s 63-year-old estranged sister has been “receiving home care for the past three weeks” due to a “problem with (her) internal organs.”

He told the US Sun that Alison was a “very intelligent, warm and sensitive person” despite her “tough exterior.”

Baker added: “I have known her for nine years and as her friend — and her caregiver in recent months — I will miss her dearly. Farewell, Alison. May you now find peace, your tormented soul forever free from earthly pain.”

He also told the Times Union that he “knew (the end) was coming” because “there were signs that she couldn’t go on.”

Alison passed away last weekend, the same day her and Mariah’s mother, Patricia Carey, passed away at the age of 87.

The 55-year-old “Obsessed” singer confirmed their passing on Monday, saying her “heart was broken” by the tragedies.

“I lost my mother this past weekend,” the Grammy winner said in a statement. “Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day.

“I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mother before she passed,” Mariah added. “I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time.”

Mariah detailed her relationship with Patricia, who was also the mother of 64-year-old son Morgan Carey, in her 2020 memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey.”

Although their bond was “a prickly cord of pride, pain, shame, gratitude, jealousy, admiration and disappointment,” the songwriter dedicated the book to her mother.

“I will always love you as much as I can,” she wrote to the former opera singer after telling her readers that Patricia had “done her best.”

However, Mariah was not in a relationship with any of her siblings at the time — and Alison and Morgan later sued her for “intentional emotional harm” and defamation over her memoir.

Alison detailed her health problems in her lawsuit, claiming she had started abusing alcohol again after being sober for a “long period of time.”

She testified in court documents that she suffered from back and digestive problems, a traumatic brain injury, short-term memory problems and vision problems following a home invasion in 2015.

While it’s unclear whether Alison’s case has been solved, Morgan’s is still active, according to Today.

Their father, Alfred Roy Carey, died of cancer in 2002 at the age of 72.

Mariah honored him on Father’s Day 2023 via Instagram, telling her followers the year before that she had “lovingly restored” his old car.
