Around 180 Manchester United fans will miss Thursday’s Europa League match in Porto after their flight was cancelled.

The supporters made the trip to Northern Portugal with United’s official travel partner, Sportsbreaks.

However, an initial delay in the morning due to a technical problem was exacerbated by poor weather in Porto when the flight was finally ready to depart.

“Sportsbreaks is in the process of providing full refunds to all supporters,” the company said.

“All supporters who have checked in for the flight will receive their credit.”

United sources say the club shares the regret over the trouble left those affected at Manchester airport all day.
