The boss was also asked if Trey Nyoni could be involved in the match against West Ham, with the U21s also in action in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on Tuesday evening.

“Let’s first see how everyone comes in this morning and then we’ll make a plan for each individual, where they’re going to play and if they’re going to play,” he replied.

“The way I look at it now, it would be a fair chance for him to be in our squad instead of the U21s, but it also depends on how fit all the other players are.”

Harvey Elliott is currently ruled out due to injury.

West Ham meanwhile have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to Anfield and are assessing the striker Niclas Fullkrug‘s potential to return.
