Live Updates: Eagles vs. Saints

The Eagles are back in action today when they visit the New Orleans Saints.

After losing to the Falcons on Monday Night Football, the team will be hoping to get back on track against the undefeated Saints, who beat the Cowboys 44-19 last week.

  • The Saints got the ball first and went on a drive that lasted 8:09 of the game before settling for a 10-yard field goal. Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave headlined the drive – Kamara had eight carries for 18 yards and Olave had three catches for 36 yards.
  • The Eagles’ first drive didn’t go as planned as the team went 3rd-and-out, with Jalen Hurts being sacked by Alontae Taylor for a loss of eight yards on 3rd-and-11.
  • The Eagles’ offense got a boost after Hurts found Dallas Goedert downfield for a 43-yard gain, putting them at the Saints’ 13-yard line.
  • The play’s big momentum didn’t last long, as Hurts was intercepted in the end zone by safety Tyrann Mathieu and returned for 23 yards.
  • Hurts had his second turnover of the game when he ran out of the pockets and was stripped by Carl Granderson for a fumble that was picked up by the Saints’ Willie Gay.
  • Quinyon Mitchell prevented a potential touchdown after forcing a deep throw into the end zone from Carr, intended for Rashid Shaheed, into an incomplete pass.
  • Lane Johnson came out of the game for Fred Johnson, who had to go to the locker room. Tyler Steen also replaced Mekhi Becton at right guard.
