Jim Harbaugh was excited after receiving the game ball for his first win as Chargers coach

Jim Harbaugh’s return to the NFL was a triumphant one. The Los Angeles Chargers won their first home game on Sunday, 22-10, over the Las Vegas Raiders.

After the game, Harbaugh took charge of the Chargers locker room as only he could. Harbaugh stood in the middle of the room and declared to his comrades that he and the other newcomers to the organization were “the lucky ones.”

Owner Dean Spanos came into the room with two game balls and was thrilled to be able to hand one to Harbaugh. He too was thrilled with the ball, which he had won in his first victory for the franchise.

Harbaugh clutched the ball in his arms and bowed his thanks to Spanos before letting out an excited shout and pumping his fist in the air as he held the ball. The 60-year-old grinned from ear to ear as he soaked up the feeling of victory with his new team.

Harbaugh then handed the ball to running back J.K. Dobbins, who had an outstanding game after being sidelined for most of the 2023 season with a knee injury. Dobbins rushed for 135 yards on just 10 carries and scored a touchdown, his first trip to the end zone in almost a year.

The atmosphere in LA is good and Harbaugh seems to be adapting quickly to his new surroundings.
