Jerry Jones talks about the injuries to Dallas Cowboys defensemen

The Dallas Cowboys (2-2) left MetLife Stadium on Thursday with a 20-15 victory over the New York Giants (1-3), although they did not emerge unscathed. Star linebacker Micah Parsons (ankle) and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) both suffered injuries that prevented them from completing the match.

Team owner Jerry Jones said further 105.3 The fan Friday that both Parsons and Lawrence are “feeling good.”

“I’m glad they’re feeling good,” Jones said, via Jon Machota The Athletics. “Both have a good feeling about it. That’s usually a good sign.”

Parsons initially underwent X-rays of his left ankle, which were negative. He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter after hitting the Giants offensive lineman Greg VanRoten fell on his leg while rushing the passerby. Parsons had to be carted off the field and was seen walking gingerly when the team arrived back in Dallas Friday morning. He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Lawrence limped off the field during the third quarter. He then headed to the locker room to take an X-ray, which came back negative. Lawrence didn’t seem too concerned about the injury.

“I’ll be right back,” Lawrence said after the game.

He added: “It hurts, but it will be fine.”

Parsons was relatively contained by New York’s offensive line, with just two tackles and zero quarterback hits. Lawrence, meanwhile, recorded the Cowboys’ only sack.

The Cowboys hit the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) in Week 5 before hosting the Detroit Lions (2-1) the following week. Dallas hopes to have Parsons and Lawrence on the field against Pittsburgh and Detroit, two of the best teams in football.
