The series follows Jentry Chau (voiced by Ali Wong), a Chinese-American teenager living in a small Texas town, who discovers that a demon king is hunting her in search of the supernatural forces she has spent her life trying to suppress. With the help of her great-aunt, a weapons expert, and a millennia-old jiangshi (Chinese hopping vampire), Jentry must now battle an entire underworld of monsters while balancing the horrors of high school.
