Jason Kelce did not disappoint with his Monday night football debut.

During the Monday, September 9, broadcast, Kelce, 36, revealed a wardrobe malfunction before the San Francisco 49ers took on the New York Jets at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clarita, California. The 49ers defeated the Jets 32-19.

After listing Kelce’s accomplishments — including winning the Super Bowl and co-hosting a hit podcast, New heights with brother Travis Kelce – Scott Van Pelt told viewers that the former Philadelphia Eagles star was wearing a jersey he purchased earlier that day at the mall.

“That being said, Jason Kelce is wearing a shirt that he bought at the mall because he left his duffel bag in the truck,” Van Pelt said.

“It fits around my stomach now. I’ve lost a little weight, but my boobs are still hurting,” Jason replied.

Fellow commentator Ryan Clark responded, “The fact that a Hall of Fame center can shop at LuluLemon. That’s big, man. That’s a big accomplishment.”

ESPN shared the clip on Instagram, inviting fans of the retired Eagles player, including Jason’s brother, to join in on the prank.

“Surprised he even bought a new one and didn’t just walk around shirtless,” Travis wrote, referring to Kelce going shirtless while cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during a playoff game in January.

The brothers’ podcast Instagram account also posted a comment, playing on an earlier joke about Jason forgetting another piece of clothing.

“Why didn’t Jason bring a shirt for Jason?” it says in the New heights remark.

The podcast’s cheeky comment follows the viral moment where Jason and Travis discuss Jason’s appearance at the Celtic premiere — the documentary about his 2022-23 season.

During the September 13, 2023, podcast episode, Jason told his 34-year-old brother that he was dressed casually because his wife Kylie was “running late” and she was “going to take the jeans.”

But Travis quickly responded, “Why didn’t Jason bring some jeans for Jason?”

Jason tried to recover but gave in, saying, “I realize now I can’t blame Kylie for this.”

For Kelce’s MNF debut, he joked with an ESPN executive on August 28 during Disney Media Day about whether he should wear a suit on the broadcast.

“I usually worry about what I wear when I’m not in a professional setting or if my image is representative of another company,” he said. “I wear what’s comfortable, what I find functional, it’s something I want to wear because it’s easy to put on, honestly.”
