Rock band Jane’s Addiction was involved in a brawl during a concert in Boston on Friday night after lead singer Perry Farrell bodychecked and then punched Dave Navarro onstage.

Footage shared by Farrell’s wife, Etty Farrell, on Saturday showed the rocker angrily singing into a microphone and then body-slamming Navarro during a performance at the Leader Bank Pavilion music venue.

The lead singer then began yelling at the guitarist, who stepped back and tried to keep his bandmate at bay by placing his forearm on his chest.

Perry, 65, became increasingly agitated and began hitting Navarro, 57, but hit the guitar.

A crew member ran from backstage to get Perry under control, which seemed to upset him even more. Two other men grabbed him as he tried to fight them off.

Meanwhile, Navarro put his guitar on the stage, spoke to someone who looked like a security guard and walked away.

Jane’s Addiction did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

However, Etty shared via Instagram that there was some “tension and animosity” surrounding the band leading up to the fight.

“Perry’s frustration grew night after night. He felt like the volume on stage was extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band,” she wrote.

“Perry suffered from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the front row audience started complaining all the way up to Perry, yelling at him that the band was going too loud and they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it.”

She revealed that the incident occurred after Jane’s Addiction started their song “Ocean,” before “Perry had finished and completed the count.”

“The volume on stage at that point was so loud that Perry couldn’t hear through the thump and vibration of the instruments, and by the end of the song he wasn’t singing anymore, he was just screaming to be heard,” Etty further explained.

She added that an altercation also occurred backstage, with bassist Eric Avery “holding Perry in a headlock and punching him three times in the stomach.”

Etty said her husband became “a crazed animal” in the 30 minutes after the fight and then “cried and cried.”

Fans were clearly concerned in Etty’s comments section, with one pleading with her to ask Perry for help and stop ‘controlling’ him.

“It’s obvious your husband is going through a hard time so please stop trying to spin this,” the user added.

“It’s none of our business what specifically is wrong with Perry, but there IS something wrong with Perry – and while it’s not your sole responsibility to fix or save him, you also don’t have to be part of the impasse that keeps him from healing.”
