Jackson lifts White to 3-1 win in Huskers Red-White exhibition game

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – Middle blocker Andi Jackson showed why she is Nebraska volleyball’s “Lifter of the Year” as the sophomore had 15 kills for a .583 hitting percentage and added seven blocks in the Huskers’ intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday night. The preseason No. 2 Huskers played four sets in front of a sold-out crowd at the Devaney Center. The white team took home the win 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22).

Skutt Catholic product Lindsay Krause also had 15 kills in the scrimmage, splitting time between the Red and White teams. Minnesota transfer Taylor Landfair had 12 kills, while San Diego transfer Leyla Blackwell and sophomore Harper Murray each had nine.

2023 Big Ten Setter of the Year Bergen Reilly had 40 assists and ten digs while setting up for the White Team. On the other side of the net, senior Kennedi Orr posted 37 assists and 13 digs for the Red Team.

Bennington freshman Olivia Mauch had 22 digs, the most of the match, and senior captain Lexi Rodriguez had 15.

Nebraska opens the college volleyball season against No. 9 Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00 p.m.
