It’s the first day of fall, but we’ll have to wait until the end of the week for cooler mornings in San Antonio

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS
  • EVENING: The autumnal equinox occurs on Sunday at 7:44 a.m.

  • TEMPORARY: Still warm, but closer to 32°C this week

  • RAIN: Possible local showers, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday

  • LOW HUMIDITY: Cooler mornings, pleasant afternoons expected Friday through next weekend

PREDICTION
Sunday will be humid and warm with only a 10% chance of an isolated afternoon shower (Copyright 2024 by KSAT – All rights reserved.)

Happy Sunday!

It will be a humid and warm day in San Antonio with only a 10% chance of a stray afternoon shower. A weak cool front will move through Texas today, but unfortunately it will dissipate before it reaches the Alamo City.

So you can expect warm afternoons, although not as warm as last week, with highs around 32°C.

Meanwhile, a tropical system is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico this week. Once it reaches tropical storm strength, it will be named Helene.

Helene is expected to make landfall anywhere from Mississippi to Florida. While it’s not good news for our neighbors to the east, the system will bring drier air to Texas. This means that humidity will be pleasantly low for south-central Texas Friday through the weekend. Expect cooler mornings in the 60s and pleasantly warm, but comfortable afternoons.

Lots to see this week, we’ll keep you posted! ~ Sarah
