In view of the upcoming Ganesh festival, Hyderabad City Police Chief Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy convened an inter-departmental meeting with representatives from various government departments, the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and the Khairtabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi.

The meeting, which took place at the Command Control Centre in Banjara Hills, aimed to address the concerns of the organisers and ensure that the festival proceeded smoothly and peacefully.

Representatives of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and Khairatabad Ganesh Samithi raised issues such as potholes on the road, inadequate lighting, availability of vehicles and arrangements for food and water during the immersion night.

In response, authorities provided necessary resources, including cranes, roadworks, lighting, electrocution prevention measures, tusks and other heavy vehicles, and tree pruning.

The Commissioner stressed the importance of adhering to court orders and appealed to the Utsav Samithis to fill up the required notice forms. He also assured the commitment of the police to ensure a hassle-free festival for devotees and sought cooperation from all departments for successful execution of the plans.
