Hozier Reveals Secret of How to Be a Great Storyteller in Captivating New Clip

Hozier immediately captured the crowd’s attention at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One, kicking off his impressive set with the 2023 hit, “Nobody’s Soldier.”

The icon went on to perform 2024 hit “Too Sweet” as fans sang his lyrics back to the stage. After everyone had their whiskey neat, their coffee black, and their beds at 3 a.m., the hitmaker serenaded the crowd with the sheer melodic mastery of 2015’s “Work Song” and closed out his set with 2013’s “Take Me To Church.”

The dynamic hitmaker took everyone to church as the crowd swayed to the beat of the familiar, timeless tune. Hozier thanked concertgoers for matching his energy and singing along with him before passing the baton to Halsey.

In a red carpet interview before the show, the “Eat Your Young” star candidly discussed the key to being a great storyteller.

“I honestly think that if you just stay from your heart and keep it broad. I think when I get into the writing and the lyrics, I take a step back from myself so it’s not too much of a personal diary, you know?”

The star just wrapped up a massive North American tour, which kicked off in February and ran until September 17.

Other artists taking to the stage on the second night of the festival this year include Doja Cat, Keith Urban, The Weeknd and many more!

If you missed any of the action this weekend, or just want to relive it all, an iHeartRadio Music Festival special featuring highlights from the event will be available to stream on Hulu on October 7.
