Hozier postpones two shows due to singing problems

Hozier is taking a short break from the road to rest and recover. The “Too Sweet” singer informed fans on Monday (August 26) that he has been forced to postpone tonight’s (August 27) scheduled show in Billings, MT at First Interstate Arena and Wednesday’s (August 28) performance at Casper, WY’s Ford Wyoming Center due to vocal issues.

“I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out to a show during this run, and especially those of you who have shown so much kind support over the past few nights as I vocally struggled to overcome a recent virus,” the singer wrote in a post on X.

“While I still thoroughly enjoyed being on stage with all of you, my voice just isn’t getting the chance it needs to properly recover,” he continued. “It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m going to have to postpone the next two shows… to give my health and vocal cords every chance to recover for the remainder of the tour.”

The 34-year-old singer did not provide further details about his complaint, but he did tell ticket buyers that more information about the rescheduled shows would be released soon. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for the new dates, and can request a refund from the seller if they are unable to attend the rescheduled shows.

Hozier recently released the three-track Not broadcast EP, featuring songs recorded during the sessions for his 2023 album Unreal Unearthed album. Assuming his vocal issues are over, the singer’s next tour is scheduled for Friday (August 30) at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, CO.
