ARLINGTON, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys will try to make it 2-0 in their first home game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

1. Cowboys Offense

Thanks to a dominant performance from the Cowboys’ defense and special teams, the offense was able to take it easy in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

Quarterback Dak Prescott admitted the offense “left a lot of meat on the bones” during the game against the Browns.

Ezekiel Elliott showed his strength in Week 1, with 10 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown.

We expect more questions to be asked about the Cowboys’ passing and running game on Sunday.

2. Contains Kamara

Stopping the run has been a weak point for Dallas’ defense in recent seasons, but a revamped linebacker group excelled in Mike Zimmer’s defense against Cleveland.

The Cowboys defense limited the Browns running backs to 54 yards on the ground.

In the Saints’ Week 1 game, they overwhelmed the Panthers.

Saints backs Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams combined for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

Dallas knows that slowing down Kamara is the most important thing for New Orleans’ offense.

“It’s going to be a great challenge. He’s still one of the best backs in this league. He’s struggled with injuries the last couple of years, but that’s the case with everybody. But so far, we’ve seen him look healthy. But I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s the first time I’ve played against the guy,” Micah Parsons said.

3. Can the Cowboys rookies continue to shine?

The Dallas Cowboys’ rookie starters delivered a solid performance against the Browns.

Center Cooper Beebe was pressure-free in Week 1 against Cleveland’s stout defense, and tackle Tyler Guyton held his own against one of the league’s best pass rushers, Myles Garrett.

The Browns threw nine times to Cowboys corner Caelen Carson, but the fifth-round pick allowed just two catches and broke up two passes in his first game.

All three rookies will have to prove that they can perform in difficult situations.

4. Brandon Aubrey – Future Record Holder?

Cowboys fans were angry that Mike McCarthy did not let kicker Brandon Aubrey attempt a 71-yard field goal after his goal from 66 yards was disallowed due to a delay of game penalty.

According to Aubrey, 70 yards is still achievable and with the roof of AT&T Stadium likely closed, conditions will never have been better to break the NFL record of 66 yards.

Even though Aubrey isn’t chasing the record, his accuracy and leg strength are important weapons for the Cowboys.
