    How to watch Joker: Folie à Deux now

    FIVE YEARS AFTER joker Surprisingly the film that earned Joaquin Phoenix his first Academy Award, the actor reteams with director and co-writer Todd Phillips for another journey into that darker version of Gotham City. The sequel film, Joker: Folie à Deux, Now playing in theaters, it brings Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck/Joker back to the big screen, while adding Lady Gaga to the mix as a redesigned version of Harley Quinn called ‘Lee’.

    However, early reviews of the film were polarizing. The film currently has a 38% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and an even lower 36% rating from fans; it’s fair to say that the film delivered isn’t necessarily the one fans expected from the original film. First of all, it’s a quasi-musical. For another, it’s a courtroom drama. Hardly fans of anything joker expected when a sequel was announced, but doesn’t leave you at least a little curious about what this movie could be Real are?

    Phillips has already said that this film will mark the end of his time at DC, and that likely means that both Phoenix and Gaga will move on as well. So if you really like the joker world, keep in mind that this is probably your last chance to explore this world on the big screen (and it plays in IMAX format too).

    Fans of Phoenix’s work in joker Perhaps he’s more excited to dive into some of his more artful performances, though. His take on the killer/villain is solid, but it was his work in films from early in his career To die for And Gladiator that really helped put him on the map, while things like Walk the line And Two lovers really helped make him a fantastic artist. Projects such as Her, the master, inherent vice, And You were never really here helped him reach a career high, and you should really check that one out.

    Phillips has also done better work elsewhere. While he got some Academy Award nomination glory joker, it was his work on comedies such as Old school And The hangover that actually belonged more to his natural calling; those films got generations of funny performances from the likes of Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, and will certainly stand the test of time more effectively than something like the joker films, which borrow heavily from other, more notable films.

    Where and when will Joker: Folie à Deux are streaming?

    We expect Joker: Folie à Deux to have a pretty strong showing at the box office, so that means the film will likely run exclusively in theaters for longer than most other films these days. Still, the film will likely be available for purchase and rental on PVOD sooner or later, probably in early December at the latest.

    Some time after that, since then Joker: Folie à Deux is a movie from Warner Bros. and will be available exclusively for streaming on Max. It’s possible the studio will push for that by Christmas, though we don’t know for sure yet.
