Gun rights activist Paul Harrell dies at 58

Paul Harrell, a leading gun rights activist and firearms YouTuber, died on Tuesday, September 3, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was 58. The news of his death was announced by his attorney, Tom Grieve, on X, formerly Twitter. Harrell had a large following, with more than a million subscribers to his YouTube channel, where he shared in-depth information about firearms.

In July 2023, Harrell was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer and expressed optimism that he would be able to continue his work.

However, his health declined and his brother recently posted a video indicating that Harrell’s time was almost up. In January 2024, Harrell handed over control of his YouTube channel to his brother Roy, and remained in touch with his audience until his final days.

Following his death, fans and supporters on social media have honored his contributions to the firearms community.

Harrell’s legacy as a firearms educator and advocate will continue through his channel, which his family plans to continue.
