This past weekend Northfield Golf Club held its club championship and Garrett Hasanbasic was crowned the men’s champion with rounds of 74 and 71, good for a two-round total of 145.

Doug Field had the lowest net score of 132, with rounds of 67 and 65.

Rachel Snow won the women’s club championship with two rounds of 90 for a total of 180.

Deb Putnam had a net of 138 with rounds of 72 and 66.

Tennis

Beacon Clay Court Classic

Steve Pedigree defeated Brian Campbell (6-3, 6-2) in the semi-finals last weekend to reach the final of the Beacon Clay Court Classic in Greenfield.

Pedigree will face Lexi Silk, who defeated Petru Cojocaru (3-6, 6-1, 6-3) in the semi-finals. The championship was postponed on Monday due to rain and the new date was not yet available at the time of writing.

Softball

FC Summer Competition

Bombers 7, Menace 2 – Mia Shaw threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts to lead the Bombers to a victory in the Franklin County Summer Softball League on Monday in Greenfield.

Shaw also had two hits.

Raine Wonsey struck out seven batters in the circle for Menace, while Charlie Vera Fellows singled and walked.
