Title: Get creative with ggplot2

Date: Thursday, September 12, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM CEST (Rome, Berlin, Paris time zone)

Speaker: Georgios Karamanis is a data visualization designer, psychiatrist, and researcher based in Uppsala, Sweden. With a strong background in visual arts and design, he uses R and ggplot2 almost exclusively to create elegant and creative data visualizations.

Description: Creative data visualizations stand out and can help you get your message across more easily. But how do you achieve this? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll look at examples and explore ways to use ggplot2 and related packages to make your visualizations more eye-catching and personal.

Minimum registration fee: 20 euros (or 20 USD or 800 UAH)

How can I register?

  • Save your donation receipt (after the donation is processed, there is an option to enter your email address on the website where the donation receipt will be sent)

  • Fill in the registration formand attach a screenshot of a donation receipt (attach the screenshot of the donation receipt that was emailed to you, rather than the page you see after donating).

If you are not interested in participating yourself, you can also contribute by sponsoring a student’s entry, who can then participate for free. If you choose to sponsor a student, all proceeds will also go directly to organizations working in Ukraine. You can sponsor a specific student or you can leave it up to us, so that we can allocate the sponsored place to students who have signed up for the waiting list.

How can I sponsor a student?

  • Fill in the sponsorship formadd the screenshot of the donation receipt (add the screenshot of the donation receipt that was emailed to you instead of the page you see after the donation). You can indicate whether you want to sponsor a specific student or whether we can allocate this spot to the students on the waiting list ourselves. You can also indicate whether you want us to give priority to students from developing countries when allocating the spot(s) you have sponsored.

If you are a university student and cannot afford the registration fee, you can also register for the waiting list here(Please note: if you sign up for the waiting list, participation is not guaranteed.)
