Georgia Football Travels Squad for Week 3 Game Against Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky., — While Georgia played its first road game of the season, the Bulldogs also unveiled their first travel roster of the season.

Under SEC rules, Georgia is only allowed to take 74 players to Kentucky.

“It’s just a numbers game on special teams,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said earlier this week. “I mean, at 74, you’re not usually talking about starters. You’re talking about a travel roster of guys that are, you know, emergency players, that have to step in, lose somebody. We’ve been there before and had some injuries and had to step in with guys back at Kentucky. So, the 65th through the 74th are special teams picks and guys that can play on special teams.”

The Bulldogs know they will be without a number of players, as defencemen Jordan Hall, Mykel Williams and Warren Brinson were all missing ahead of Saturday’s game.

Georgia’s game against Kentucky starts at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).
