Fritz’s death was confirmed by his longtime friend and History Channel co-star Mike Wolfe, who posted on Instagram that he was by Frank’s side “as he made one final journey home.”

“I’ve known Frank for more than half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been the same as I’ve seen: a dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny,” Wolfe said. “Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.”
