“It’s going to be a little chaotic, but you have to rely on communication. There’s one official who keeps the clock. After every drive, they’re going to tell each team what time it is. For the play clock, the back judge puts his hands up, both hands, when there’s 15 seconds left. He puts one hand down when there’s 10 seconds left and counts down from there.”

The game had just started in Tallahassee with still no clock on the scoreboard in the first quarter between the Seminoles and Eagles. Things then started to work at the start of the second quarter.

Florida State, Boston College game affected by Disney-DirecTV dispute

More than 11 million DirecTV subscribers lost access to Disney channels, including ESPN and ABC, on Sunday night as the two sides entered into a dispute over transmission.

The failed negotiations over a new distribution deal left millions of customers without access to the US Open and Sunday night’s primetime Top 25 matches. LSUUSC matchup in Las Vegas. As of Monday morning, Disney and DirecTV had not yet agreed on a new deal.

It’s the second straight college football season that Disney has found itself in a standoff with a broadcast company. The entertainment company had a dispute with Charter Spectrum a year ago that lasted more than a week.

Disney’s standoff with DirecTV will affect the one college football game scheduled for Monday night. Boston College is scheduled to host No. 10 Florida State at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. According to The Wall Street Journal, The dispute centers on an increase in the fees Disney wants to charge to air popular channels, and DirecTV’s desire to be more flexible in how it sells those channels to customers.

Week 1 of the NFL season begins Thursday night, with the New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers next Monday on ESPN and ABC. That date will be a driving factor in the two sides reaching a deal.

“We are investing significantly to deliver the No. 1 brands in entertainment, news and sports because that is what our viewers expect and deserve,” Disney and ESPN executives said in a statement. “We urge DirecTV to do what is in the best interest of its customers and reach a deal that would restore our programming immediately.”
