Florida State Crowd Chants ‘We Want Brock’ Glenn vs. Boston College

State of Florida is on the brink in the first half against Boston Collegeand went ahead 14-0 early in the game with the home crowd. Not much went right on the offensive end, even with a field goal that put the Seminoles on the scoreboard. DJ Uiagalelei has completed just three of 10 passes for 30 yards so far.

Fans aren’t too happy with Florida State’s quarterback right now, and are suggesting that head coach Mike Norvell make a change. After a third-down incomplete pass, which eventually led to a field goal, the crowd chanted “We want Brock” in support of the backup Brock Glenn.

Douglas Soule of the USA TODAY caught video of the chants at Doak Campbell Stadium but was interrupted when Ryan Fitzgerald‘s field goal went through the uprights. You can watch it below.

Glenn is a sophomore and was a former three-star recruit. He played high school football at Memphis (TN) Lausanne University Collegewhere he was a three-star prospect. The quarterback was the No. 465 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankinga weighted average using all four major recruitment media companies.

Glenn’s current role is as a reserve, but he did see action during the 2023 season due to the injury situation surrounding Jordan Travis. Extended runs against Louisville And Georgia however, did not produce the best results.

Only 17 of Glenn’s 47 passes were completed for a percentage of 36.2%. Those were good for a total of 194 yards and no touchdowns. Two interceptions were thrown, but nothing came of it against the Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl.

There’s more frustration for Florida State fans than just Uiagalelei’s performance Monday night. In Dublin against Georgia technology was also a rough offensive outing, allowing just 21 points and 291 yards. More importantly, the Seminoles suffered a loss that not many saw coming in Week 0.

Norvell has not yet surrendered to the public’s will. Glenn is not in the game and has not even been shown warming up on the sideline. Florida State will likely stick with Uiagalelei, as the offense desperately needs some kind of spark.
