The flow around the remnant circulation associated with Francine will continue to produce scattered showers and storms tonight. We will wake up to more rain on the radar Saturday, especially along and east of I-65. The guidelines show this rainy weather expanding westward through the afternoon and evening. The risk for flash flooding will continue into the evening hours. The WPC forecast continues to call for 4 to 5 inches of rain for some locations through early next week. The potential for scattered showers and storms will continue Sunday; however, the heaviest coverage will begin to move west of our area starting Monday. There will be no total washouts on either Sunday or Monday, but be aware of the potential for storm delays.

Next week: Rain chances are scattered Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 80s. We will remain dry through midweek, but rain chances could increase later in the week. We are watching for another disturbance that could form into a tropical system off the coast of the Carolinas. Forecast guidelines show this system moving north of our area, but the circulation could move our way late next week. Be sure to download the First Alert Weather app for weather alerts and forecast updates throughout the weekend.
