Final Standings, Statistics from the 2024 Women’s College Volleyball Showcase

Four of college volleyball’s top programs participated in the inauguration College women’s volleyball tournament on September 1-2 at the Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Minnesota, Stanford, Texas, and Wisconsin faced off over Labor Day weekend, with all four games televised nationally. Two of the games were on FOX, the other two on FS1. Below are the results from the 2024 Women’s College Volleyball Showcase:

These four programs have combined to win 14 national championships, including six of the last eight titles. Click or tap here to view the complete DI women’s volleyball championship history since 1981.

Texas are the two-time reigning national champions after sweeping Nebraska in the 2023 NCAA title game. The Longhorns have four titles total and enter their first season in the SEC.

Wisconsin earned its first national title in program history in 2021. The Badgers have also finished second three times (2000, 2013, 2019) and have reached the national semifinals four times since 2019.

Minnesota was a 2004 NCAA tournament runner-up and a six-time national semifinalist. The Gophers’ most recent semifinal appearance was in 2019.

The program with the most DI women’s volleyball titles of all time is Stanfordwith nine. The Cardinal last went back-to-back in 2018-19.

Wisconsin, Stanford and Texas all reached the national quarterfinals last season as three of the final eight teams standing. The Wisconsin vs. Texas game on Sept. 1 will be a rematch of the 2023 semifinals.

Fiserv Forum is no stranger to hosting college volleyball games. Last September, Wisconsin played Marquette at the NBA arena, with 17,037 fans — which ranks as the 14th-highest-attended women’s college volleyball game heading into 2024. It was the highest-attended women’s sporting event in Wisconsin.
