Keegan Bradley claimed his first win of the season at the BMW Championship on Sunday, rocketing his name up the FedEx Cup standings.

Bradley entered the weekend ranked 50th in the FedEx Cup standings and appeared to be sidelined for next week’s TOUR Championship. He shot an even-par 72 in the final round on Sunday for a score of -12, beating Sam Burns, Ludvig Åberg and Adam Scott, who all finished at -11.

Bradley is now projected to finish fourth in the FedEx Cup standings and has a shot at winning the championship next week.

After the BMW Championship turned the rankings upside down, here is the updated top 10:

  1. Scottie Scheffler: 6,615,083 points
  2. Xander Schauffele: 5,422.333 points
  3. Hideki Matsuyama: 3,898,855 points
  4. Keegan Bradley: 3,095,621 points
  5. Ludvig Åberg: 2,979,500 points

  7. Collin Morikawa: 2,713,796 points

While every golfer in the top 30 competes at the TOUR Championship, those with higher rankings receive greater benefits. The FedEx Cup leader starts at 10-under par, while the rest of the field receives the following benefits:

  • No. 2: 8-under par
  • No. 3: 7-under par
  • No. 4: 6-under par
  • No. 5: 5-under par
  • No. 6-10: 4-under par
  • Nos. 11-15 start: 3-under par
  • No. 16-20: 2-under par
  • No. 21-25: 1-under par
  • No. 26-30: even

Scottie Scheffler, who has been the top golfer all year, struggled at the BMW Championship this past weekend, finishing one-over-par in a tie for 33rd. Fortunately for Scheffler, the bad weekend didn’t hurt his ranking thanks to an otherwise stellar year.

Scheffler remains in first place in the FedEx Cup standings, giving him a big lead going into next week’s TOUR Championship.

While Bradley made the biggest jump of the entire field on Sunday, Adam Scott also improved his ranking after finishing in a tie for second place. Scott, like Bradley, started the weekend trying to crack the top 30, and he jumped more than 20 spots from No. 41 to No. 14 in the standings on Sunday.

The two biggest risers, Bradley and Scott, now look to continue their positive momentum into the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta next week.
