What you’re going to do…

Customer satisfaction – Building great customer relationships

  • We provide our clients with exceptional accounting and operational services.
  • Demonstrate that you have a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technological developments to deliver excellent service.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for all assigned client assignments in accordance with the defined process.
  • Implement our technology toolbox as needed across all customer engagements to increase efficiency and customer value.
  • Serve as a resource for all assigned team members for guidance on customer tasks and/or resolving customer issues.
  • Monitor team member performance by assessing quality of work, adherence to protocols, timeliness of deliveries, and adherence to customer budgets. Provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Build a trusted relationship with your clients’ executives by gaining a deep understanding of their business needs and objectives, so you can proactively identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Support changing client needs by educating executives about Supporting Strategies’ deep and diverse expertise in accounting and operational services.

Team Enjoy – Attracting, Managing and Retaining Effective, Happy Professionals

  • Work with members of our Talent Acquisition team and your Managing Director to manage the hiring process for remote accountants assigned to you. This includes reviewing pre-screened candidates, interviewing (calling references), and providing timely feedback.
  • Orientate and train newly assigned accountants in accordance with Supporting Strategies standard process. Provide ongoing coaching to deliver superior outsourced accounting and operational services.
  • Balance workflow by aligning client needs with accountant expertise and capacity, in line with pre-determined budgets. Consult with your Managing Director on potential capacity issues to take proactive measures to ensure success.
  • Monitor the work of accountants to ensure the highest quality service to Supporting Strategies clients.
  • Maintain profit margin for assigned customers and team.
  • Plan and conduct annual performance reviews according to an established process.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, including 4 years of practical management experience, including hiring, training and developing a highly committed, service-oriented team.
  • Ability and commitment to work on Full-time (32-40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, during traditional business hours, supporting customers and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, build and retain a high performing team.
  • Experience in developing strong relationships within remote teams, based on trust, accountability, integrity and sharing best practices.
  • Commitment to consistently follow established Supporting Strategies policies and procedures and to hold team members accountable to do the same.
  • Confidence in learning and embracing new technologies including QuickBooks (Enterprise and Online), Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, HubDoc and others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • We strive to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when working with customer data.
