Eagles RB Saquon Barkley takes it 65 yards for a touchdown

NEW ORLEANS — After more than three quarters of offensive frustration, running back Saquon Barkley broke loose and put the Philadelphia Eagles on the scoreboard.

Trailing 3-0 to the New Orleans Saints early in the fourth quarter, Barkley took a handoff up the middle on second-and-5, cut left into daylight and sped past Saints defenders for a 65-yard score to put Philadelphia ahead. It was the fifth-longest rushing touchdown of Barkley’s career.

Barkley was responsible for his fall near the goal line late in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons that led to a loss.

He has been a force for the Eagles since signing a lucrative contract with Philadelphia this offseason, entering the day with 248 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.
