Dragon Lights Reno, Street Vibrations ushers in fall in Northern Nevada

play

It’s the first full week of fall in Northern Nevada, and that means a full week of traditions, both old and new. At over a century old, the Genoa Candy Dance is one of the oldest continuously celebrated events in the region, and the Street Vibrations fall rally will bring an estimated 35,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to the area. But there’s also the relatively new (and still anticipated) Cordillera International Film Festival and Dragon Lights Reno starting this week.

But despite last week’s fall-like rain and cold, this week will see a return to sunshine and 80-degree temperatures in the valleys.

Here’s a look at what else is happening the week of September 23-29, 2024.
