Diddy lawsuit details disturbing allegations against music mogul

Sean “Diddy” Combs, one of the most powerful figures in the music industry, has been charged by federal authorities with three counts of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The indictment contains shocking allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder, including claims that he forced women to perform orchestrated sex acts with male sex workers.

Combs has pleaded not guilty, according to the Associated Press. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said his client plans to plead not guilty, and Agnifilo said he would “fight like hell” to have Combs released from federal custody.

Combs was arrested at a Manhattan hotel a day before the indictment was made public on Tuesday, September 17.

Here are some of the disturbing allegations made by prosecutors:

Combs allegedly forced victims to participate in ‘Freak Offs’

According to the indictment, obtained by PEOPLE, Combs used coercion to get women to participate in so-called “freak-offs,” described by prosecutors as “elaborate and fabricated sexual performances.”

Prosecutors said Combs lured victims under the pretense of a romantic relationship, then allegedly used “force, threats of force and coercion” to persuade them to participate.

The alleged “freak offs” sometimes lasted several days and sometimes involved multiple commercial sex workers. Combs allegedly organized and directed the “freak offs”; prosecutors allege he electronically recorded them and masturbated while they were happening.

Combs allegedly used drugs, influence and intimidation to coerce women

Combs, who has amassed enormous power and influence within the music industry over the past three decades, has been accused of using that influence to ensure that women participated in the “freak offs.”

Combs allegedly controlled victims’ careers and used his financial support to threaten to cut them off, the indictment alleges. The mogul also allegedly recorded the “freak-offs,” sometimes unbeknownst to the victims.

In addition, prosecutors allege that Combs gave the victims drugs to induce compliance.

According to the indictment, the drugs supplied included cocaine, oxycodone and ketamine.

Victims were given IV fluids

Because the alleged “freak-offs” were physically demanding and sometimes lasted for days, prosecutors say Combs and the victims required IVs after the freak-offs.

The need for the infusions arose from the need to recover from exertion and drug use, the lawsuit states.

Alleged physical abuse

The physical abuse Combs is alleged to have committed dates back to at least 2009, prosecutors allege in the complaint.

According to the indictment, Combs allegedly hit, kicked, dragged and threw objects at women, and his behavior was sometimes witnessed by others.

Prosecutors say an alleged incident at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 was captured on camera. In the video, prosecutors alleged Combs kicked, dragged and threw a vase at a woman.

In an attempt to maintain silence, prosecutors allege Combs attempted to bribe a hotel employee who tried to intervene.

Alleged involvement of Combs employees

While Combs is accused of organizing the “freak-offs” at the center of the indictment, prosecutors also say his employees helped facilitate them.

The employees, including senior executives, security personnel, housekeepers and personal assistants, allegedly helped book travel for the victims and sex workers and arranged the trips, the indictment said.

They are also accused of stocking hotel rooms with supplies, cleaning the rooms afterwards and restocking Combs, delivering money to pay sex workers, and administering IVs.

More than 1,000 bottles of baby oil

When Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami were searched in March, authorities found “strange items,” including drugs and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, according to prosecutors.
