Diddy accuser speaks out about ‘shame’ and ‘pain’ over alleged rape

Sean “Diddy” Kammen‘last prosecutor Thalia Graven has broken her silence about her alleged assault and the trauma she continues to experience.

“I have PTSD, depression and anxiety. I am emotionally scarred,” Graves said during a press conference on Tuesday, September 24, that was reported by the New York Post. “I have a hard time trusting others, forming healthy relationships, or even feeling safe in my own skin. Flashbacks, nightmares, and intrusive thoughts make me feel like it’s a constant battle.”

She revealed that the alleged attack in 2001 affected her mental health and remained a constant source of sadness.

“It’s a pain that goes to the core of who you are, and it leaves emotional scars that may never fully heal,” Graves said, wiping away tears. “One of the hardest parts of this pain is the shame and guilt that I’ve experienced, which has negatively impacted my ability to function on a daily basis.”

Celebrities are speaking out following the recent arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The music mogul was arrested in New York on September 16. The following day, a 14-page indictment was made public alleging that Diddy “assaulted, threatened and coerced women and others around him.” The rapper has since entered a not guilty plea (…)

As her lawyer Gloria Allred Sitting next to her, Graves said she is “glad” that Diddy, 54, is in prison, noting that it is “a temporary sense of relief.”

We weekly has reached out to Diddy’s team for comment.

Sherman in turn told the Daily Mail Tuesday that he “does not know” Graves and claimed her accusations are merely a “money grab.”

“I’ve never seen this lady,” he claimed to the outlet. “I don’t have any tape of her like she says I do. I’ve never seen her. I’ve never done anything with her. I don’t know, none of this. I don’t even know this lady.”

The bodyguard also claimed he has “no relationship whatsoever” with Diddy.
We weekly confirmed Tuesday that Graves has filed a lawsuit against Diddy and his security chief Joseph Shermanand claim they raped her in 2001.

Graves alleged in court documents obtained by Us that she was 25 years old, she was lured by the singer to a meeting with him and Sherman, where she claimed she was then given a drink that “was likely laced with a drug that ultimately caused her to briefly lose consciousness.”

Graves alleged that when she woke up, she was being held down and that Diddy and Sherman were allegedly sexually assaulting her. In November 2023, she claimed she discovered the men had recorded her “horrific rape” and that they were showing it to others.

Diddy has not yet commented on the lawsuit, but is currently in jail. He was indicted on September 17 on charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The 14-page indictment alleges: “Combs relied on the employees, resources and influence of the multifaceted business empire he led and controlled — and created a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.” Some of the allegations date back to 2009.

Before his arrest, Diddy was accused of sexually assaulting his on-again, off-again girlfriend Cashew (real name Casandra Ventura) for years. Cassie, 38, alleged in November 2023 that Diddy frequently made her use drugs during their relationship and allegedly forced her to have sex with male prostitutes on camera. She also alleged that Diddy sexually assaulted her in 2018 after he forced his way into her home.

One day after the filing hit the news, Diddy settled the lawsuit out of court. “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some degree of control,” Cassie said Us through her lawyer Douglas Wigdor at that time. “I want to thank my family, fans and advocates for their unwavering support.”

As for his current charges, Diddy pleaded not guilty on September 17 but was twice denied bail. He will remain in jail until his trial.

Diddy’s attorney released a statement on Monday, September 23, noting that his team is “disappointed with the decision to prosecute this case, which we view as an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs by the United States Attorney’s Office.”

The statement continued: “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you have all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Graves’ attorney, Allred, meanwhile, said at her Tuesday press conference, “We want justice for her and we look forward to getting it. It’s long past time that those who caused her this suffering are held accountable.” Allred added that she represents other alleged victims of Diddy, but declined to provide further details.
