Derrick Henry widens gap to Cowboys with 26-yard TD

ARLINGTON, Texas — Lamar Jackson and the winless Baltimore Ravens made an early statement against the Dallas Cowboys.

Jackson capped an impressive opening drive by running untouched into the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown. It was the 30th rushing touchdown of his career, making him just the seventh quarterback since 2000 to do so.

It was Jackson’s first rushing touchdown in 11 games. It was a familiar start for the Cowboys, who have allowed points on the first drive in all three games this season.

After losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, the Ravens are looking to avoid falling behind 0-3 for the second time in franchise history.

The opening drive of the second half was just as impressive as Baltimore’s first drive of the game. Running back Derrick Henry surpassed 100 yards rushing for the first time with the Ravens when he scored a 26-yard touchdown early in the third quarter.

Henry capped a drive in which the Ravens ran the ball every play by running up the middle, shaking off a tackle and then diving into the end zone. His 18 yards after contact were his most on a run this season.

With that score, Henry had 110 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries and the Ravens led the Cowboys 28-6.
