Dave Grohl’s daughter has apparently deactivated her Instagram after news broke that her rock ‘n’ roll father had a fourth daughter out of wedlock.

On Tuesday, September 10, the rocker posted a statement on his Instagram sharing that he had recently fathered a child with a woman outside of his marriage to wife Jordyn Blum. As of Tuesday afternoon, Grohl’s 18-year-old daughter Violet’s Instagram was still deactivated, though it’s unclear exactly when she closed the account.

Grohl shares Violet and his two other daughters, Ophelia, 10, and Harper, 15, with Blum, to whom he has been married for 23 years.

“I recently became the father of a baby girl, born out of wedlock,” Grohl wrote in a statement shared on his Instagram on September 10.

“I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am committed to doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued. “We are grateful for your consideration for all of the children involved as we move forward together.”

At Glastonbury Festival in June 2023, Grohl introduced his eldest child on the event’s Pyramid Stage before performing a song from his band’s latest album, But here we are.

“My favorite singer in the world,” Grohl said, as Violet took the stage. “This is a song I wrote for my mother, Violet’s grandmother. This is ‘Show Me How.'”

Grohl yelled, “That’s my girl!” as the father-daughter duo finished the song. “I love it when you’re on stage with your daughter and you hit a bad note,” he also joked.

Earlier that year, Grohl appeared with his wife and three daughters at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where they walked down the carpet together, laughing.

The musician wore his signature rock style with black-rimmed glasses as he posed with his family on the red carpet. Blum opted for a short, black sequined dress, finished with off-the-shoulder white lace.

Violet paired a blazer dress and knee-high boots with red lipstick, while Harper wore a vintage-feeling floral dress with cleated boots. Ophelia posed for her family in a flowy ombré dress and a gold bag.
