Danny Amendola’s DWTS performance video

The theme of the second episode of “Dancing with the Stars” was Oscars Night, with each couple dancing to iconic songs from Academy Award-nominated films. Amendola sang a jive to Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” from the 1996 “Top Gun” original soundtrack.

Fans of the show were quick to praise Amendola for his moves, complimenting his footwork, energy and stunts. The 38-year-old also showed more of his personality this week than he did last week, as he got into his groove.

Although Amendola and his partner only outscored last week’s judges by one point with 21 points, he impressed most viewers and proved that he belongs here.

This story will be updated with the full performance video when it becomes available.

Who is Danny Amendola’s DWTS partner?

Amendola will be joined on the dance floor by Witney Carson, 30, who rose to fame when she competed on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2012 as an 18-year-old. She finished third and joined DWTS as a member of the dance troupe in early 2013 before being promoted to a professional partner in season 18.

In Carson’s second season as a partner, she won the whole thing while working with actor and comedian Alfonso Ribeiro. She also received a nomination for Outstanding Choreography at the Primetime Emmy Awards for her work that year.

The professional ballroom dancer has been married to Carson McAllister since 2016 and the couple have two children.

Which NFL teams did Danny Amendola play for?

After a successful four-year career at Texas Tech, Amendola signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in April 2008. He was cut and joined the practice squad, eventually moving from the Eagles to the St. Louis Rams before taking the field for the first time in 2009.

He played four years with the Rams before signing with the Patriots in March 2013. Over the next three seasons, Amendola won two Super Bowls by catching passes from the legendary Tom Brady. After his successful stint with New England, the receiver left for Miami on a two-year deal, but was released by the team within one year before spending the next two seasons in Detroit.

Amendola’s last campaign in 2021 brought him to Houston where he signed a one-year contract. In July of that year, he announced his retirement.
