Communities across the Delaware Valley are remembering the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks on the 23rd anniversary

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Across the Delaware Valley, remembrances, services and acts of community kindness were held Wednesday, marking the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

From Old Town Philadelphia to Bucks County, people gathered to remember the lives of those lost.

Bucks County had the highest 9/11 casualty rate in the state.

Tara Bane lost her husband Michael, who worked on the 100th floor of the North Tower.

“The life we ​​had together is soothing and healing,” she said during an event at the Garden of Reflection.

In New Jersey, emergency workers held a solemn procession to commemorate the sacrifices and courage of those responding to the attack.
