College football live scores, updates, highlights: Georgia struggles against Kentucky in second half

Week 3 doesn’t look very appetizing at first glance, but you never know when a huge surprise will come.

Saturday started off a bit chalky with No. 4 Alabama blowing out Wisconsin after Badgers QB Tyler Van Dyke suffered an injury on the opening drive. No. 6 Missouri followed that up with a nail-biting comeback win at home over No. 24 Boston College.

No. 16 LSU also needed to stage a comeback when visiting South Carolina fell behind 17-0 early. The Tigers did just that, earning a crucial SEC victory when the Gamecocks’ tying kick went wide as time expired.

Perhaps the most notable result of the day was another disastrous loss to Florida State.

Follow the rest of Saturday’s action below.

Live126 updates

  • Kentucky adds a FG

Alex Raynor is Kentucky’s MVP today, sinking a 40-yarder on UK’s opening drive of the second half to extend the Wildcats’ lead to 9-3 over Georgia.

  • Texas attack

Make it four touchdowns on just 12 throws (plus one rushing TD) for Arch Manning since replacing Quinn Ewers. He was pulled from the game after the throw, and third-stringer Trey Owens will finish the game.

  • Landing in Colorado

The Buffs are back in the endzone on a throw from Shedeur Sanders to Travis Hunter. They now lead 21-3 and the Rams haven’t been able to mount much offense so far in this game.

  • Interception Colorado!

The Buffs pick up CSU’s Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi deep in his own zone on an errant throw. Shedeur Sanders and company have the ball in the red zone, 14-3.

  • We’re back for the second half of Colorado-CSU. The Buffs looked much more capable after a slow start to the game.

  • Halftime score: Kentucky 6, Georgia 3

Kentucky closes the first half with a long, time-consuming drive that ends in a field goal.

The Wildcats are ahead of the No. 1 Bulldogs, who have allowed just 65 yards of offense so far.

Officially under the supervision of the surprise players.

  • Kentucky leads No. 1 Georgia

The Wildcats hit another 32-yard field goal to take a 6-3 lead over the Bulldogs with 5 seconds left in the first half.

  • Halftime: Colorado 14, CSU 3

  • Another one for Arch

This Arch Manning boy seems pretty good.

Texas runs the score with its backup QB.

  • Georgia is equal

The Bulldogs can’t do much with the big turnover, they go 3-and-out and have to settle for a short field goal.

It all comes together in the second quarter.

  • Georgia recovers from a fumble!

Bulldogs suffer a big turnover after a sack by Kentucky QB Brock Vandagriff.

Georgia takes over at UK 23. First big spark for the Bulldogs.

  • Another TD hit for Arch

Arch Manning keeps cooking for Texas. This time it’s a 50-yard TD pass to Isaiah Bond.

    Longhorns lead UTSA 35-7.

  • Landing in Colorado!

Shedeur Sanders found LaJohntay Wester on a cross route for another TD, this time for 34 yards, giving the Buffaloes a 14-3 lead with under a minute left in the first half.

  • It looked like the Wildcats had a pick-6 on a Carson Beck pass that deflected off a receiver’s hands, but the call was overturned. He ended up on the ground.

Georgia dodged the bullet, but must concede a point for the fourth time today.

    Kentucky leads 3-0.

  • Landing in Colorado!

The Buffaloes take the lead over their arch-rivals as Shedeur Sanders finds LaJohntay Wester for a short TD pass.

  • Meanwhile, Colorado State is up 3-0 on Colorado in Fort Collins. It’s a lackluster start to the game as both teams struggle offensively.

It appears Quinn Ewers is suffering from what Steve Sarkisian calls a “tight abdomen” for tonight.

  • Kentucky takes lead over Georgia

  • Dylan Raiola starts well for Nebraska

  • Shaky start for No. 1 Georgia

The first two possessions were fruitless for the Bulldogs, who just avoided disaster with a botched snap on 3rd down. Kentucky’s defense got off to a good start in Lexington.
