College football games, scores, updates: Miami vs. Florida, Colorado State vs. Texas and more

It’s the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, which means the college football chaos is really starting to kick off.

Thursday saw 21 games, including Colorado’s win over perennial FCS powerhouse North Dakota State, and six games on Friday before a full schedule on Saturday.

No. 1 Georgia started off with an absolute show of force, beating No. 14 Clemson 34-3 in their season opener. Heisman favorite Carson Beck was on point the entire game, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

These are the best matches to watch the rest of the day.

Time: 3:30 pm | TV: ABC | Line: Miami -2.5 | Total: 54.5

The first game of the season doesn’t make or break a team’s season. But boy, does it feel like the stakes are high in this interstate rivalry. Miami enters the season with high expectations and a promising transfer quarterback in Cam Ward. The ACC could be theirs to take after Florida State’s surprise loss to Georgia Tech last week. Florida might need this game to clinch bowl eligibility at the end of the season. Seriously. The Gators have talent on both sides of the ball, but they also have the toughest schedule in college football.

Time: 7:30 pm | TV: ABC | Line: Texas A&M -3 | Total: 46.5

Notre Dame doesn’t shy away from tough openers, and this one is no exception. Saturday night marks QB Riley Leonard’s first game in a Notre Dame uniform after transferring from Duke, but he’ll play behind a revamped offensive line that lost three starters from 2023. First-year Texas A&M coach Mike Elko brings a defense with plenty of new faces but still plenty of talent. And QB Connor Weigman returns as the Aggies’ starting quarterback with the goal of staying healthy all season.
