Saturday and Sunday’s First Alert Weather Day brings snow and rain to the mountains for the Denver metro area. It’s quite a change in our weather pattern in Colorado, as a cold front will arrive Saturday morning, bringing snow to the mountains and rain to the Denver metro area and Colorado’s Front Range. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s for the metro corridor on Saturday. Daytime temperatures will climb into the mid-50s on Sunday as fall officially begins at 6:43 a.m. Sunday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday through noon Sunday for Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range, and the Summit County mountains, the Mosquito Range and the Indian Peaks where 4-9 inches of snow are expected. The sun will return behind this system and temperatures will climb back into the 70s to start the week.
