Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Responds to Patrick Mahomes’ Self-Criticism

The Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated start to the 2024 season is seen as the team to beat again in the league. Patrick Mahomes and second-year star Rashee Rice have exploded for productive connections in each of the team’s first three games.

Rice spoke to the media after his stellar performance Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons, which contributed to a 22-17 victory on foreign soil. He addressed Mahomes’ critical self-evaluation of his play early in the season when he said earlier on stage, “I haven’t played very well.”

“I think that’s awesome because he’s the best quarterback I’ve ever played with,” Rice said. “So when he feels like he didn’t have a great game. I feel the same way, so we just have to get back to practice so he can do better together.”

Rice led the team in receiving again in Week 3, with 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. He continues to applaud the confidence his quarterback has shown in him in such a short time. He expects more success, especially now that Mahomes expects more of himself.
