The poll, conducted before Thursday night’s 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens, found that Kansas City fans were very positive about the way the team was managed.

An extension for Trey Smith?

Before Thursday night’s game, a majority of fans believed the team’s right guard would receive a contract extension for the final year of his rookie deal. We don’t know how that number would have changed if fans had known that tight end Noah Gray would receive an extension. We don’t even know if Gray’s new deal would rule out an extension for Smith. But it certainly seems like most fans would like to see Smith stay.

In the case of that question, what we saw on Thursday night likely wouldn’t have changed things much — except perhaps to bump up rookie Xavier Worthy a notch or two. Now entering his sophomore season, it appears Rashee Rice will pick up right where he left off in 2023.
