ANANTAPUR: A case has been registered against a woman and her lover for sexually harassing a 12-year-old girl in Municipal Quarters area of ​​Chittoor. The man, Naveen, was arrested on Saturday. The girl lived with her mother, who worked as a labourer.

According to the police, the victim’s mother was in a relationship with Naveen for five years and the man had been sexually abusing the girl for the past one year. They said the mother did not stop him and instead supported the crime. The girl, a class 6 student at a school in Chittoor, had been absent from school for a long time and her neighbours alerted the police that she had also not been seen outside the house.

Police immediately arrived on the scene, discovered the abuse and took the victim to hospital.
