Carnival’s Princess Cruises Adds Generous New Offering

When cruising with Carnival and Royal Caribbean’s namesake brands, you often need to purchase a number of extras to get the most out of your cruise vacation.

Neither cruise line offers an all-inclusive cruise package and all the extras add up, making the final price significantly higher.

Additional charges apply for optional extras on board, such as Wi-Fi, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, coffee, specialty dining, room service, shore excursions and even certain entertainment options.

In addition to the optional extras, daily gratuities are automatically added to your onboard account unless you choose to pre-pay gratuities when booking.

When you combine daily gratuities with various onboard extras, you’ll likely be shocked when you see the bill at the end of your cruise.

Carnival Corporation’s Princess Cruises wants to change the billing experience and please travelers who want a more all-inclusive cruise experience.

The cruise line has revamped its top-tier onboard cruise package, the Princess Premier Package, to provide more value and less worry for its guests. With the enhanced Princess Premier Package, cruisers get faster Wi-Fi, specialty dining, beverages, premium fitness classes and more. And it’s all unlimited.

The cruise package, which includes almost everything, costs $90 per person per day and is paid at the time of booking to avoid any surprises at the end of the cruise.

Nearly all-inclusive cruise package now available on Princess Cruises

The expanded Princess Premier package is on sale now and available for sailings on or after August 31, 2024.

One of the most appealing aspects of the Princess Premier package is the unlimited beverage package, which includes alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, smoothies and bottled water. It is a true unlimited package that is not limited to 15 alcoholic beverages per day, as is the case on Carnival Cruise Line ships.

With the unlimited selection of alcoholic beverages, you can choose from over 75 spirits, 40+ wines by the glass, and 20+ handcrafted cocktails. The package even includes top-shelf spirits and high-end cocktails priced up to $20 each.

Access to specialty restaurants each night of your Princess cruise is another impressive highlight of the Premier package. In addition to the main dining rooms, Princess Cruises offers popular specialty steakhouse, seafood and Italian restaurants.

For even more flexibility and indulgence in dining, unlimited casual meals and premium desserts are also included in the Premier Package.

Another attractive benefit of the Premier package is the Wi-Fi connection for cruise ships operating at sea.

The onboard package includes priority access to Princess’s highest performing Wi-Fi service, MedallionNet Max, for up to four devices per guest. Princess Cruises says that Starlink is typically the internet network available with MedallionNet Max.

For added convenience, crew gratuities are included when you purchase the Premier package.

Is the Princess Premier Package worth the price?

For cruisers seeking an all-inclusive resort experience at sea, the Princess Premier package offers remarkable value.

You would be hard-pressed to get all the amenities of this package for even around $90 per day on a cruise line.

According to Princess Cruises, guests can save $220 per person per day with this nearly all-inclusive cruise package.

If you don’t think unlimited amenities are necessary for you, consider the Princess Plus package. It’s an onboard cruise package that offers a number of Premier options with set limits.

The Princess Plus package costs $60 per person per day. According to Princess Cruises, it offers a savings of $93 per day per guest.

Please note that the Premier and Plus packages only include onboard experiences, so they are not truly all-inclusive. Additional charges apply for shore excursions at your cruise ports of call and for certain items above the cost limits set by the individual packages.
